About The Founding Attorney
Michael Simmons is a lifelong resident of Cumberland County, North Carolina. He is married with three children and values a work-life balance between family and his career. Attorney Simmons focuses his practice in domestic/family law to include domestic violence, child custody and support.
He is a former Cumberland County Department of Social Services attorney and is highly experienced in matters involving alleged abused, neglected and dependent children and termination of parental rights.

Attorney Michael A. Simmons
Attorney Simmons graduated with honors from F.T.C.C. in 2010 with an Associates of Applied Science in Paralegal Technologies and remains committed to the college by being an active member of the F.T.C.C. Paralegal Advisory Committee. In 2013, Attorney Simmons earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Criminal Justice, Cum Laude, from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Attorney Simmons graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2017. Attorney Simmons belongs to the following professional organizations: North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, 14th Judicial District Bar Association, Cumberland County Black Lawyers Association, and the NAACP.
